This is a replacement for the LX200 Motor Encoder Board. It is a newly-designed circuit board replacement part for the original RA and DEC motor encoders in the 8", 10", and 12" Meade LX200 "Classic" telescope, and also fits the Meade LXD650 and LXD750 telescope mounts.

Note that installation will require re-soldering the connecting wires on the left-hand side of the board. A PDF document with instructions for installing in the LX200 is available here: Installation
The new board will also need to be calibrated by adjusting the two trim potentiometers. That adjustment should be done with an oscilloscope or DVM to verify duty-cycle of 50% on the output waveforms. There are several references on the web (included in the product documentation) that explain how to perform the calibration procedure. For a simpler alternative, consider our Encoder Calibration Tool, which is an inexpensive daughter-board that performs the duty-cycle measurement without additional instruments.
